Stacking The Shelves #36 The Winner’s Crime

stacking the shelves

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, that spotlights the books we are adding to our shelves; whether they be virtual or physical.

I’m at my brother’s house this weekend. He lives only 4 hours away but I don’t get to come up here often because of our work schedules. He’s a teacher and also a coach, so now that basketball season is over, I decided that a visit to see him and his family was in order. Of course, my sister and her 2 kids came along, and the ride was filled with chatter from them. I was told to leave my books and laptop at home because there are to be no distractions on my part. *snorts* I brought my laptop because I could not leave it behind. So let me get this post together before we start our day of fun. I don’t know what he has planned but I will go along.

The Winner’s Crime by Marie Rutkoski Thanks to Macmillan for sending me this book! What are the odds that I’d win 2 years in  row? I won The Winner’s Curse last year also. I started reading it as soon as I ripped open the package.

Strands of Bronze and Gold by Jane Nickerson I traded one of my YA books that was sitting useless on my shelf for this one. I’ve been meaning to read this for some time.

That’s all for me this week. Unless I hit up some of the Independent Bookstores here in Huntsville before I leave, I don’t think I’ll be buying anymore for a couple of weeks. What books did you add to your shelf this week?

I love comments, and try to reply as often as I can. Know that I read each and every one.
