MY THOUGHTS You see all those question marks beside the genres? I can’t tell what age group this book is categorized. We’re dealing with high school students that have sex on the regular. Well, from what little is revealed, we see that they’re not exactly virgins. The little revelations here and there didn’t really satisfy my curiosity, but I kept reading. I expected the cliffhanger, but I also expected to be given a big clue by the end. Didn’t happen. If I missed the clue, can someone who has it figured out tell me what the heck I missed?

So aside from the lack of details, the characters weren’t my favorite either. Okay, I liked Silas. At least he was honest about himself and not in denial like Charlie. That girl would not crack to save her life. If I were going through something like that, I’d want all the help I could get from the other person suffering the same fate as me. Help each other out, go with the flow. Obviously, you were two peas in a pod once upon a time, it might help to get back in the swing of things, and maybe something (or someone) will help along the way.

Basically, two teens lose their memory in the middle of the day at school. Oh, they’re in separate classes, by the way. Blah, blah, blah…. and they figure out that they both know nothing about themselves or each other. And they realize that their families can’t stand each other. And Silas was sleeping with the guidance counselor before the memory loss. Oh oh oh, let’s not forget that Charlie was sleeping with Brian (or whatever his name is). And then come to find out that we are getting the 3rd(?) episode. Yes, we find out that it has already happened twice or something that week. And there’s a video on Silas’s phone that is not really a visual but the sound is of him and Charlie getting it on. From before. When they were in love. Before the fall. When life was sunshine and rainbows. Before someone decided to be greedy with the family business, and left one man behind bars. Now the two families are at odds, and the two teen lovers part ways and become angry and bitter. My guess? Someone didn’t like the new lovers’ change, and told them how to get back to each other (some form of black magic voodoo or what ever), and that’s how it all started.

If I didn’t want to see if my theory is what actually happened, I wouldn’t want to continue with this serial. Seriously, I’m being masochistic right now. And I immediately got book 2 afterwards. I can say that the authors sure knew what they were doing with this one. They want us readers so ready for the big reveal, that they broke it up to torture us. Evil women, in my opinion. Recommend? Sure, the mystery of it all kept me reading. It’s quick, so you won’t spend too much time with this one. Everything else is just meh for now. I’m hoping to be wowed with the next book.
