Stacking The Shelves #53

STSmall_thumb2

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, that spotlights the books we are adding to our shelves; whether they be virtual or physical.

Hey guys! I missed last week’s post (I almost forgot to schedule this one), because I’ve been super swamped. I may burn out soon, that’s just how I’m feeling these days. All of you parents out there, I salute you. Who knew that getting all of the back-to-school stuff could stress you out. My sister is still in the hospital, and that’s where me and her kids spent the 4th. She doesn’t trust their dad to get everything done correctly, so I’m tasked to do it all. Which I don’t mind, but this is exhausting. School supplies for a both, plus clothes and shoes. How do you guys do it? My mother did it for 3, and she never seemed as tired as I look & feel right now. It’s definitely official now; I do not want kids. I was pretty certain before, but now I’m positive. Plus, I wouldn’t bring a child into this cruel world. Just no. A few Kindle books is all I’ve managed to snag in these past 2 weeks. So, not a lot happening around here.

That would be all for me. I’m excited to read Art & Soul, Entwined With You, and Incandescent. What books did you add to your shelves this week?

  1. I’m excited to see what you think about Never, Never! Silas was my boo girl! lol. Art and Soul looks really good. I’ve seen it floating around the book community, and I’ve heard good things so far, so I’m thinking about putting it on my TBR. Lord knows I don’t need to add anything else but you know I will lol.

  3. Don’t feel bad Lekeisha! We’re still be here anxiously waiting your awesome posts! I understand, life gets in the way and sometimes you can’t get anything done and you’re all stressed out but you’re strong and you’ll bounce back. ♡
And yayyyy! Art and Soul! I really, really hope you enjoy it!

  4. The Martian… I will wait for the movie because it’s not my book genre despite the rAve reviews. I might be the oddball who DNFs it lol. I hope you love it though like everyone else!

    Happy weekend!

  5. I was a teacher for 25 years, and I love being an auntie, but I never wanted my own kids either. Your sister is lucky to have you, and if you had your own family it would be too much for you to help out so much.
I think I need to read the Martian due to hype and peer pressure. Plus it’s going to be a movie.

  6. I was seriously thinking of getting the Martian. The Cover for Angelborn is great.
