b009a-dad13-add-to-goodreads-button3“Never forget that I was your first real kiss. Never forget that you’ll be my last.
And never stop loving me between all of them.
Never stop, Charlie.
Never forget.”

Silas races against time as more truths unravel, while others twist tighter together. And now, the stakes are higher as Silas’ control slips and others begin to point fingers. Charlie is in trouble and he must be the one to bridge the chasm between their past and their present. Because somewhere between I love yous and Never Nevers and Never Agains, a truth they can’t imagine, beckons to be found.

“Where are you, Charlie?”

MY THOUGHTS Maybe I should have waited to read these books, until I could get my hands on all of them. It’s so frustrating because I really like to read all the way through until there is a resolution or whatever. This book is more. More clues, more questions, more mystery, more Silas, more Charlie (Sammy in this case), more confusion, more more more. What the FECK (In my Irish accent) is going on?!! And hello, is everyone paying attention to the covers? Two hands… One hand…… No hands? Maybe? No? Okay, I just thought that I’d remind you how this all looks. I did like this one better than the first, simply because there was a lot going on.

Silas is back after waking once again with no memory. After absorbing little details about what he knows, he does some more searching – because Charlie is MIA and he needs to find her. There is more than just some memory loss going on here. That part was clear the moment we get Charlie’s POV. She’s being held prisoner (no other word appropriate) and doesn’t remember anything. Silas is trying to figure out what happened to Charlie after she declined the cab ride home the night before. And then there’s the tension between their families to deal with. Now the police have Silas’ backpack with all of the letters and some of Charlie’s journal entries, letters from her dad, etc…. courtesy of Charlie’s sister. Everyone is thinking of the fact that Silas has been acting strange so therefore he has something to do with her disappearance. Silas tells his brother what has been happening to him and Charlie, and he needs someone on his side to help find Charlie before the cops throw him in jail. But it all seems like something to do with Charlie’s former house. Someone went through a lot of trouble to make Charlie and Silas forget.

There’s not much to spoil here. I wish that I had the next / last(?) book, because I hate this torture. Teasing torture, is what this whole thing is. Still, liked it and I need the next book because that cliffhanger just makes you want more. I’m happy to note that I am looking forward to seeing just what is going on here. I was a little apprehensive at first, but now I need it – you know, for closure purposes 🙂 If you are looking for some mystery in your reading, these little gems are what you need. It’s like playing Clue!

  1. It seems like these books can be pretty frustrating simply because of the cliffhangers and how there is yet to be any answers but only more questions! I am glad you were able to enjoy there being some more happening to keep you entertained though.

  2. It must be so hard to wait for all the parts to come out for this story!

I read serials but I wait for the omnibus so I can binge if I want to, or take my time when I’m feeling lazy. hehe

    • That’s what I wanted to do. Then, I saw that the first book was free for a day and I grabbed it. Now, I’m sitting here wondering where it all leads. This one has me on intrigued though.

    • I’m going to be checking out more of her books. I think that I could really love her writing, but I think this series was the wrong place for me start. Not that I don’t like this, because I do.

  3. GIIRRLLL, it’s like… I want to and NEED to try it because your review made me WANT it now. But then again you’re kind of scaring me with the whole cliffhanger thing… I’ve never read a Colleen Hoover book but I follow her on FB and know she is pretty popular. But I can’t imagine not being able to know how it all ends. All in all girl… YOU’VE CONVINCED ME. I’ll add this to Goodreads now. Just pray for me that that cliffhanger doesn’t kill me too much.
