REVIEW Two things to say first 1) I still hate Leah and there is just too much going on in this book to get around everything, but I will try. Revealing everything that this b**** has done up to this point will spoil the whole series, but I will try not to. 2) I’m reading the last book now and there is still a lot of ground to cover before I even try to review that one, so I want to get back to it ASAP. It’s Caleb’s POV, need I say more?!!

Man oh man, Tarryn Fisher has found a spot on my favorite authors shelf. Yes, after her parts with Never, Never, and now this; I’m going to be one clicking all of her books until I have read them. She is quite evil and I love it! She kept me on the edge of my seat, screaming! I wasn’t sure about this one since it’s Leah that we have to deal with, but this is even better than the first book. Have I mentioned that I hate Leah? Because I do, and this book let’s you see how f***ed up that girl really is. All of the scheming and just wickedness that she did to keep Caleb, and it all backfired. I laughed my butt off. Karma is a b**** and she fights dirtier than Leah ever could.

Lessons to all the idiot girls who get pregnant to trap a man: It doesn’t work. Don’t believe me, ask Leah. Everything fell apart the moment she gave birth. EVERYTHING! She was clueless about everything baby. The wretched woman drank and smoked like there is no tomorrow. She wanted a nanny, Caleb got her a manny. LOL! Sam rocks! I love his character, and he didn’t put up with Leah’s BS. Caleb…. I swooned to death with this book. Caleb+baby Estella=swoons. God, he is such a great father to her! And Leah messed up big time.

If I wasn’t Team Caleb before, I was definitely Team Caleb when he said that. I screamed so freaking loud. Do not mess with a man whose soul purpose is his daughter. He will f*** you up!Now, for the ending of all endings. Caleb let the truth spill out and Leah fought dirty. Oh, that witch dropped an atomic bomb! So, let’s back up a bit. Cammie is here. Olivia and Noah are here and are happily married. I think. Hey, Olivia is trying her best to move on but it’s hard when Caleb is forever planting himself in her life. God, I wanted him to snatch her away from sexy Gandhi! I like Noah, but I can’t help but feel that something big is about to go down. I’m only about 20% into Thief, so I don’t know what will happen.

Seth…..Tarryn Fisher is evil! I did not see that coming. That’s what I like about this series; you never know what the heck will happen next. I love the Past and Present chapters. Leah’s childhood was heartbreaking. Still, I hate her, so I could only sympathize for a minute or two. Her father is a first class douche. Her mother isn’t much better. Now, if you’ve read this book/series, you have to ask yourself if the way Leah grew up had anything to do with the way she is now. I say yes, but some would say no. She had the chance to become great. To be an honest person. To not be so dead set on hatefulness and vengeance. That girl’s brain is wired differently, and I’m surprised that she didn’t try to blow it out.

This is one drama filled love story. This is the kind of love that is obsessive and scary. Caleb and Olivia are meant to be, but they can’t seem to hold on to each other. Leah is second best, and she knows it. The harder she tries to keep Caleb and Olivia apart, the more fate steps in. She can’t win, and if there’s no HEA for the soulmates in question, then me and Tarryn Fisher are done. Kidding! I will be sad though, because I love Calivia. Yep, I ship them. And as much as this book is fiction, there’s a lot of real life s*** going down here. This happens in real life. That crazy kind of love that makes you do the unthinkable. Women getting preggers to keep a man, stalking, vandalism to the other woman’s property, blackmail, lying, cheating, EVERYTHING. You just have to open your eyes and see it. I’ve seen more headlines about cheaters being killed by their husband/wife in the last ten years than I’d like, but it is what it is. You can’t play with someone’s heart and expect to come out unscathed. If you want to read this series, I suggest that you have all the books to read them all at once. Trust me. I can say that I will have read the series within a 3 day time frame. That’s not unusual for me to binge read, but lately I can’t seem to find the time. Reading The Opportunist only made me want the next book, and after that one, the next. Be warned, it’s addictive. Definitely recommended!
