This week I’m waiting on a release from one of my favorite erotic romance authors, Eric Jerome Dickey. Whenever he has one coming, I’m ready to read it because he never disappoints. Don’t forget to leave me links to your posts, so that I can stop by. Happy Wednesday!!

ADD TO GOODREADS

They call themselves the Blackbirds. Kwanzaa Brown, Indigo Abdulrahaman, Destiny Jones, and Erica Stockwell are four best friends who are closer than sisters, and will go to the ends of the earth for one another. Yet even their deep bond can’t heal all wounds from their individual pasts, as the collegiate and post-collegiate women struggle with their own demons, drama, and desires.

Trying to forget her cheating ex-fiancé, Kwanzaa becomes entangled with a wicked one-night stand—a man who turns out to be one in five million. Indigo is in an endless on-again, off-again relationship with her footballer boyfriend, and in her time between dysfunctional relationships she purses other naughty desires. Destiny, readjusting to normal life, struggles to control her own anger after avenging a deep wrong landed her in juvi, while at the same time trying to have her first real relationship—one she has initiated using an alias to hide her past from her lover. Divorced Erica is in remission from cancer and trying to deal with two decades of animosity with her radical mother, while keeping the desperate crush she has always had on Destiny’s father a secret… a passion with an older man that just may be reciprocated.

As the women try to overcome— or give into— their impulses, they find not only themselves tested, but the one thing they always considered unbreakable: their friendship.

  1. Ohh great pick I do love reading some Erotica’s but I never read an erotica book by a male author, that really intrigues me. I most definitely need to check him out! Thank you for stopping by my blog. 🙂

    • LOL! He definitely knows how to create some drama, and his characters (especially the females) are very well fleshed out. His books are no run of the mill romances. The writing is great, he always keeps it real. Characters with class, is what I always say when I’m done with one of his books.

    • Mostly, all of his books are erotic in some way. Hard sex equals more than just romance in my book. I love how the sex doesn’t overshadow the plots with his books. His earlier works are more on the romance side, but should still not be read by anyone under 18.

  2. It doesn’t sound like my kind of read at all, but I do love when there are a close knit group of friends in a book. I hope you get the chance to read and love this one x

    • Oh no, Olivia. You stay far away from Mr. Dickey’s books until you turn 18 young lady! Well, since you like comics, he does have one that might interest you. Storm from X-Men, I think. I’ve never read it, so I don’t know if he took the “adult” route with it or not.

I love comments, and try to reply as often as I can. Know that I read each and every one.
