Even by Wind Dragon Motorcycle Club standards, Irish was always a bit of a dark horse. Not one to confide his secrets, such as where he got that mysterious scar across his neck, he’s quick with his fists and even quicker to jump to the defense of his MC. But is he nimble enough to handle the woman he never saw coming? Or will she leave him with a matching scar across his heart?

Review

Dirty Ride turns out to be the perfect little escape from reality. It only took a hot second to read it, and I was satisfied in the end. It’s quick and dirty, which is what the description and cover promise. I haven’t read the previous books, but I had no problem getting to know Irish, bad boy extraordinaire to the Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club

Valentina’s character was the focal point to this story, as she’s the one running from an abusive past. I was open to the possibility that this would be insta-love, so I wasn’t surprised really. My rational side says that the pace is too fast for this type of plot. Girl running from her past, meets hot guy in a bar, within days they are joined at the hip. Not very smart of Tina to do since she is trying to get her life together, and she just ran away from an abusive relationship. Bad boy Irish is the right man for the job as rebound. He’s not only hot, bud badaxx with connections. Who better to protect Tina than him? So yeah, my bad conscious told my good conscious to shut the hell up and leave them be.

You have a woman on the run, a bad boy who falls in love with her, a ruthless motorcycle club, and hot romance – the perfect little escape. I will definitely be reading more of this series.

  1. I think this is why romance novellas don’t typically click with me, because it’s so hard not to do insta-love when you have a certain number of pages to develop a romance. I prefer more slowburn, but I’m glad to hear you had a good time with this! Sometimes you just need a good escape book.

  2. Haha, yes, sometimes one needs to turn a blind eye to things to enjoy a story. Glad it hit the spot. I’ve read a few MCs lately so I’ll keep this in mind if the mood continues.

  3. I don’t generally go for books like this but I have to say that I’m a little curious. I grew up Sturgis SD, home of the motorcycle rally where over half a million people come to visit for one week a year. It’s full of biker gangs and all that. I know from experience that many of these bikers look scary but really they are softies on the inside. And very, very generous. So I’ve been considering reading a book like this and see how I feel about it.

  4. It’s good that starting this one in the middle of the series didn’t hinder it in the slightest. I also really like the sound of this one being the quick, cheeky escape that you sometimes need. Whenever I need an escape from reality I always end up turning to the romance genre.

  5. I almost requested this one and now I’m kicking myself for not doing it… It sounds like just what I need right about now. Great review, Lekeisha!
