And the whole Charley Davidson Series by Darynda Jones & Soundless by Richelle Mead from the library, which I don’t have the energy to post. I’m about to fall asleep typing this. These are from the last few weeks that I’ve missed. What books did you add to your shelf this week?

3e7cc2f5f7422a1b0fcb7fe914208994R.I.P to my favorite author, Harper Lee. I was shocked by this news, but I know that she’s in a better place. To Kill a Mockingbird is my favorite novel. It was the first literary work that I read, when I was 12? 13?… I can’t remember the exact age. But, I didn’t fall in love with it until I was around 16; I know this because I was taking Mrs. Halsey’s English class in 10th grade. I’ve since read it about 15-20 times. Don’t judge me.

  1. Halfway Dead looks really interesting! I’ll check it out 🙂
It’s really sad about Harper Lee. I couldn’t believe it when I found out

  2. So many books! I hope you like the sequel to The Witch Hunter which I know plenty of people have been enjoying. I also LOVED On the Jellicoe Road, so I hope you enjoy and devour that book soon! Oh, and when it comes to those physical ones there are so many promising ones in there, but none I have read myself.

It was so sad to hear about Harper Lee’s passing. She was truly an inspiration to many.

  3. Jellicoe Road is one of my favorite contemporary books of all time. I hope you love it too. It’s hard to read at first, but push through because it only gets better.
I want to get to Wolf by Wolf at some point this year because I’ve heard great things.
I was sad to hear about Harper Lee too. 😦
I hope you have a good weekend!

  4. I’ve heard good things about Jellicoe Road. Wolf by Wolf looks good, too.

My husband and I were just talking about checking out To Kill a Mocking Bird from the library as our ‘car read’ (he will listen, but not read books) b/c I felt the need to read it again to mourn a good author.

  5. I have done a few posts while I was about to fall over from sleep. No fun at all. I have never read To Kill A Mockingbird. I know that I should probably be ashamed of that. My daughter is actually reading it now for school. I was very sad to hear about her passing. Great haul, Lekeisha!
