Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, that spotlights the books we are adding to our shelves.
Netgalley/Review Request/Gifted
The King Slayer by Virginia Boecker | Halfway Dead by Terry Maggert | Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta
Physical Books
Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard | Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin | Sword and Verse by Kathy MacMillan | Imposter by Antony John | Borderline by Mishell Baker | The Lifeboat Clique by Kathy Parks | Shallow Graves by Kali Wallace | The Tragic Age by Stephen Metcalfe
And the whole Charley Davidson Series by Darynda Jones & Soundless by Richelle Mead from the library, which I don’t have the energy to post. I’m about to fall asleep typing this. These are from the last few weeks that I’ve missed. What books did you add to your shelf this week?
R.I.P to my favorite author, Harper Lee. I was shocked by this news, but I know that she’s in a better place. To Kill a Mockingbird is my favorite novel. It was the first literary work that I read, when I was 12? 13?… I can’t remember the exact age. But, I didn’t fall in love with it until I was around 16; I know this because I was taking Mrs. Halsey’s English class in 10th grade. I’ve since read it about 15-20 times. Don’t judge me.
YESSSS I have heard great things about Charlie Davidson! I know Aila loved Sword and the Verse and Wolf by Wolf as well, so I hope you enjoy your new books.

Oh yay, The King Slayer! I thought the first book was interesting, and I’ll probably be reading this sequel too. And I was also very sad to hear about the passing of Harper Lee. May she rest in peace.

So many books! I hope you like the sequel to The Witch Hunter which I know plenty of people have been enjoying. I also LOVED On the Jellicoe Road, so I hope you enjoy and devour that book soon! Oh, and when it comes to those physical ones there are so many promising ones in there, but none I have read myself.
It was so sad to hear about Harper Lee’s passing. She was truly an inspiration to many.

I’ve heard good things about Jellicoe Road. Wolf by Wolf looks good, too.
My husband and I were just talking about checking out To Kill a Mocking Bird from the library as our ‘car read’ (he will listen, but not read books) b/c I felt the need to read it again to mourn a good author.

I have done a few posts while I was about to fall over from sleep. No fun at all. I have never read To Kill A Mockingbird. I know that I should probably be ashamed of that. My daughter is actually reading it now for school. I was very sad to hear about her passing. Great haul, Lekeisha!

Great stacking the shelves post! I recently got Jellicoe Road too and hope to read it soon as it sounds really good. It was so sad to hear of the death of Harper Lee yesterday, I think I’m going to have to re-read To Kill A Mockingbird again very soon.
