This Week I’m Waiting On…….
The Midnight Star by Marie Lu
Publication: October 11th 2016
Publisher: G.P. Putnam’s Sons BFYR
Series: The Young Elites #3
Genres: YA, Fantasy
There was once a time when darkness shrouded the world, and the darkness had a queen.
Adelina Amouteru is done suffering. She’s turned her back on those who have betrayed her and achieved the ultimate revenge: victory. Her reign as the White Wolf has been a triumphant one, but with each conquest her cruelty only grows. The darkness within her has begun to spiral out of control, threatening to destroy all that she’s achieved.
Adelina’s forced to revisit old wounds when a new danger appears, putting not only Adelina at risk, but every Elite and the very world they live in. In order to save herself and preserve her empire, Adelina and her Roses must join the Daggers on a perilous quest—though this uneasy alliance may prove to be the real danger.
Bestselling author Marie Lu concludes Adelina’s story with this haunting and hypnotizing final installment to the Young Elites series.

Why Am I Waiting?
Okay, I can’t be the only one waiting to see if Adelina succumbs to the darkness. She scared the bejesus out of me at the end of the last book. Plus, more Magiano please! I’m just hoping this trilogy ends with a bang. Anyone else ready for the finale? What are you waiting on this week?
I have Rose Society on my to-listen-to-next queue on Audible. I really want to catch up before the next book comes out. Great pick !

ohmygosh, you just reminded me that I haven’t read The Rose Society!! I’d have to get around that by September. And that cover is sooooo beautiful!! (possibly my fave cover in the series).

I hope you’ll enjoy this one, Lekeisha. I wasn’t blown away by the first book so I stopped following the series.

I wasn’t blown away by the first book either, but then I read the sequel last year and I was sold. Much darker and the characters are more fleshed out.

I think a lot of readers are waiting on this finale! Oh, and I just heard that there will be a movie of book one D: Which means I better get to reading this soon as well!

As much as I like the books, I’m a little bit apprehensive about the movie. Why do they want to turn every YA series into movies? Sometimes things are better left alone.
