You can now find me on tsu. I’ve gotten a few request to join this month, so I figured that would be a great way to start up the new year. I can’t believe that March 23rd will be one year of doing this! So, if you are on tsu and want to follow/ friend me, go right ahead. If you are not, then you may use my link to join. Just go HERE to join. Hope you all are enjoying the holidays and being safe. Until next time!!
Title: Reflection Pond
Author: Kacey Vanderkarr
Release date: April 1st, 2014
Genre: Young Adult, Fantasy
Sometimes you find home, sometimes it comes looking for you.
Callie knows a lot more about pain than she does about family. She’s never belonged, at least, not until she falls through a portal into her true home. The beautiful faerie city of Eirensae doesn’t come free. Callie must find her amulet and bind herself to the city, and most importantly, avoid the Fallen fae who seek her life. Seems like a small price to pay for the family she’s always wanted.
Then she meets cynical and gorgeous Rowan, who reads the darkness of her past in her eyes. He becomes Callie’s part-time protector and full-time pain in the ass. He has secrets of his own for Callie to unravel. What they don’t know is that the future of Eirensae lies with them, and the once peaceful city is about to become a battleground for power.
I love the author’s take on “fae” and the world she created. I love fantasy, so I was eager to read this book.
The city of Eirensae is described so beautifully, that I want to live there. Callie falls into a pond and ends up in this magical city. She’s so eager to get home, but soon finds that she is intrigued enough to stay. Her first interactions are with Ash and Rowan; and as she’s told little about the world she fell into, Rowan clearly is being a jerk. With learning about who she is and her purpose in the fae world, also comes danger at every turn.
This book is amazingly done. While I enjoyed all of the mythology and world building, I still had one thing that I didn’t like. The love triangle! I’m over them, they make me gag. And while in the beginning Rowan was a “jerk” of all trades, I really love his and Callie’s chemistry. Way more than what Ash and Callie had going on. So that was the only thing I didn’t like. This is a great world to dive into, especially if you love “fae” as much as I do. I definitely recommend this book.

There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.
Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.
Even Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce- he goes out of his way to make that very clear. But she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, Luce has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret….even if it kills her.
STALKER MUCH? Hmm, i’ll see how this one goes. I here there is about to be a film made. Exciting? No?

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill over at Breaking The Spine. It showcases books that we are looking forward to reading. My book this week, it’s cover yet to be revealed, is Tested (New World #3) by Janelle Stalder. I’ve already devoured the first two books in the series, Switch (New World #1), read my review HERE; and Masked (New World #2), read my review HERE. This is a NA/Dystopia series, and is very addicting. I love the world that Janelle has created, and each book is centered around a particular person or persons as the case may be.
A brief blurb from book 1: Two thirds of the world population has been wiped out, devastated by the worst war the earth has ever seen. Standing among the ruins is a mind reader who finds herself on the wrong side of the war. Everyone does what they must in order to survive. When the rebels bent on bringing down the New World leader start to rise up, it is her job to make sure they stay down where they belong. That is, until one rebel sneaks past her defenses and into her heart. Love will blossom from the ashes, but will it be enough to save them, or will it mean the end of them both?
*These books are for mature audiences due to sexual situations, violence and strong language.*
Tested will be released on June 24, 2014.

It’s king murdered in cold blood by friend and foe alike, the once magnificent kingdom of Arenhed has fallen to its knees. Without a proper heir to assume the throne, the nation concedes to the rule of a cruel and villainous tyrant.
When her village is attacked by the duke and his men, 16-year-old Hedy Odell’s simple life is turned upside down. She loses all that is important to her: her best friend, her mother- everything. Unbeknownst to her, she is thrust in the midst of dangerous politics and into a world where everyone-and everything- is not what they seem.
Tormented by nightmares, Hedy must navigate both the treacherous landscape of the noble courts and the conflicted waters of her heart if she is to get her revenge. One misstep, and she may suffer a fate far worse than death..
This is one of those ‘didn’t see that coming’ books. The world building and characters are just amazing. With every turn of the page, you wonder what will happen next.
Historical/Fantasy is my new favorite genre. This book delivers not only a great setting, but great characters. You know who you’ll be behind throughout. It is beautifully written and I can’t wait to read the next book! I need to get the print on my shelf as soon as possible!! This is definitely a reread.
