My Thoughts This is a satisfying conclusion to a trilogy that I became obsessed with over a matter of days. There were plenty of moments that I wanted to scream to the heavens, and plenty more where my heart felt like it would explode from all of the emotions coursing through my body. This one is told from’s Calebs POV, in past and present tense; with a chapter from Noah (sexy Gandhi) thrown in for good measure. Sexy Gandhi almost made me hate him, but he figured out quickly that I was not to be messed with. LOL!

This is Caleb we’re dealing with here. It was hard reading about his feelings toward everything that has happened up to this point; especially with his daughter. I wanted to cry for him. But then Leah just can’t let anything go. As soon as Caleb and Olivia are trying to work on their friendship/relationship, here comes Leah. She kept this man away from his daughter for two years, and when he shows up she calls the police. His brother, Seth, no less. WTF?!! I truly thought that the vein in my temple would burst, I was so mad. Only everything turned out wrong, and then it turned right, only to end up downright horrific. In the end, I was satisfied, but my heart hurt because I thought that I would end up bawling my eyes out – and then I would be forced to hunt the author down. Seriously, I was close to just stopping and not reading any further. I didn’t want to know how it ended for Olivia, but I kept going and I’m so glad that I did.

Lot’s of things happening in this book. Cammie…. so we figure out her role in the keep-Caleb-and-Olivia-Away-From-Each-Other campaign. I understand that she is Olivia’s BFF and wanted to protect her, but please. At the house that Caleb built, Cammie finally saw what could have been. Yeah, she was pretty quiet and I’m glad that it ate at her for telling that lie all those years ago. I hate Leah, I won’t even go into her shenanigans. But, she did the right thing at the end, as messed up as it was. I just don’t get her at all. Sexy Gandhi showed a little vindictive side here. He wanted to play husband to Olivia when he felt like it. When she needed him, he wasn’t there. Oh, but Caleb was. It wouldn’t surprise me if he didn’t put in motion Leah’s little plan. He wanted Caleb gone, and he got it. I saw Steve, Caleb’s stepfather, in a different light. I’m just glad that he pushed Caleb in the right direction and that he seemed to really like Olivia and Caleb together. I was sad when things turned bad, truly. That was heartbreaking.

Love, hate, tragedy, and life lessons all around with this trilogy. I highly recommend this to readers of NA, who want some drama added to their romance. It’s not all happy, sometimes there needs to be angst. It doesn’t get any better than this. The characters are flawed, the drama is real, and the love is blinding. I still hate Leah. The end. 🙂
