My week has been sort of hectic but I managed to survive. I’ve had 3 migraines this week and my meds are not working. So, I’ve been in hell while at work trying to focus with my head feeling like it was about to split open. Not many books this week but I did get a few.
Netgalley
Modern Monsters by Kelley York This is YA Contemporary and the cover grabbed me so after reading the synopsis, I was sold.
Edelweiss
Shetani’s Sister by Robert Beck better known as Iceberg Slim It’s been a while since I’ve read some great street literature. To be honest, not many authors can pull it off so I’ll see how this one goes.

The World Before Us by Aislinn Hunter I’m reading this now and so far, I can’t tell if this will end well for me. I keep putting it down because it’s confusing the hell out of me. Thank you to Hogarth/ Penguin Random House for sending me this book.
Kindle Freebies
Rippler by Cidney Swanson Over 2,000 mixed ratings on Goodreads and since it was free, I grabbed it.
Reasonable Doubt by Whitney Gracia Williams It’s only a novella but I couldn’t resist it.
Well that’s all for me this week. What books did you add to your shelves?

Stacking The Shelves #26
Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews that spotlights books we are adding to our shelves, whether they be virtual or physical. I told myself that I would NOT buy, request, or agree to any more books this year. I want to get the ARCs and a few of my other TBR books read by New Year’s. Well, I tried and failed. I’m sorry but I just can’t help myself. AT ALL. Here are the books I’ve added…………..
Stacking The Shelves #16
Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews that spotlights books we are adding to our shelves, whether they be virtual or physical. I only added one this week, I think. LOL! I honestly think this is the only one. I have been swamped and a little overwhelmed with RL. I did request some ARCS from Penguin’s First To Read program but I won’t know until the 14th whether I am approved. *Crosses fingers*

Servants of the Storm by Delilah S. Dawson
I have already devoured this one and it wasn’t what I was expecting. Review will be posted Monday. (Hopefully)
That’s all for me! What book/s did you add to your shelves this week?

Purchased
Transcendence by Shay Savage This is my favorite Twific so i’m excited to read the published version
Reached & Crossed by Ally Condie I read Matched last year and liked it, so I had to get the other 2 hardcovers
The Forever Song by Julie Kagawa I will be reading the trilogy next week and review them as a whole. I purchased the first book and won a signed hardcover of book 2 last year, I’m just getting around to starting them so i’m excited!
I’m not requesting any books from Net Galley until I’ve read at least 10 more of the books that I purchased this year. I have to catch up on my TBR some way, and reading only review books that have a deadline just will not do. So, I’ve decided that for every 10 or so books that I clear off my list, I’ll request 2 from NG (and hopefully get approved) and go from there. I think that I have 4 more review books coming from authors/publishers next week, and that will be it for a while. I love reading books to help get the word out, but I have books all on my bookshelf and my kindles that need reading ASAP. I’ve put them aside for too long now. What books have you gotten to read?
